The Importance of the Law of Detachment While Manifesting

Hey everyone!

Recently, I launched my manifestation journal in my Etsy shop and I wanted to share it with you!

I’m still over the moon, as I put my heart into it. I made sure I gave every detail, all the key dates, crystals for manifestation, tips and tricks!

If you haven’t checked it yet, you can purchase it here:

Okay, let’s go back to the topic! I’ve been searching universal laws for quite some time. While preparing my manifestation journal, I started searching and learning more about the law of detachment.

So, the thing is, whenever I wish for something and try my best to manifest it, I can’t let go! Then, I realized that this was affecting the process of my wish coming true…

It was like checking the oven all the time while cooking something. And what happens if you do that?

1st scenario: Your meal will be ready in 5 hours instead of 1.

2nd scenario: There are chances that you might burn your hand, since you keep checking the oven all the time.

3rd scenario: You will become irritated and angry, blaming yourself, telling yourself that you are the worst cook ever.

You are probably nodding your head now, I can feel it, lol!

Yet, this can be avoided!

So, what can we do when we try to manifest something? How do we detach ourselves? What exactly is the ”law of detachment?”

The law of detachment is the ability to let go of one’s need to control outcomes in situations, attachment to one’s desires, and the need to control other people.

Let’s assume that we really want to have that brand new car or meet our soulmate. We did everything to manifest them but we keep checking on it all the time. We read tarot, we ask astrologers, we play gambling games etc.

Literally, we are manipulating the situation. The more we do that, the more it runs away from us. I know that this one is the most challenging spiritual law of all time, since we really want to our manifestation to come true, but the situation gets messy and complicated.

We need to take a deep breath and let it go.

You are probably saying, ”Okay, Penny we get it. But how can we do this?”

So, how can we detach ourselves from the situation, then?

  1. Have full trust in the universe. Yes, or the power you believe in knows our heart’s truest desires. When we are aligned with our true values, what belongs to us will knock on our doors. If you want to learn about how you can find your highest values, you can check out my previous blogpost!

2. Let it go. Yes, you manifested it at the right time( you will definitely manifest things on time if you purchase my Manifestation Journal ;)) You did everything you could. Now, it’s time for that order to be prepared. I personally do not recommend turning to tarot cards or anyone at this point, I did that, and I manipulated the situation.

3. When some things do not happen, it’s either not the right time or it’s not meant to be. I know this is a hard pill to swallow, but sometimes things are not meant for our highest good. It is okay to cry it out but remember that there are really amazing things planned out in your book. Accepting this will liberate you. Believe that whatever is meant for you, will never pass by without finding you.

I always ask and say ”What else is possible in the Universe?”

”How could it be better than this?”

”Universe, please tell me how I can improve this situation.”

And I notice that whenever I do that, many opportunities arrive in my life.

Remember, a grateful heart is really the door to miracles. When you are grateful for what you have, you’ll attract more abundance.

When you are grateful, you vibrate higher. This higher vibration will automatically match with your heart’s true desires.

I would like to finish this post with this lovely quote that I really like.

”If you let go, your life will be in flow. Everything that is meant to follow you will do so…”

Let’s meet in the comments down below. Did you know about the law of detachment and its importance while manifesting things?

Until next time,

Penny x

  1. Very interesting post! I love a bit of manifestation and I have to admit, I’ve always understood it that it’s best to stay focused on what you’re trying to manifest. But this makes sense if you’re focusing on it TOO much. I came across a saying a few months ago that I’d never heard before; “what is for you won’t go by you,” and I truly believe this. I think meditation helps here too as your subconscious is very good at showing you your path!

    1. Exactly, Fiona! Love that saying. I keep reminding myself that everyday. Meditation really accelerates the manifestation process, too! Thank you so much for reading, I really appreciate it. x

I definitely need to learn to let it go after manifesting something. I struggle with it by thinking about it.

  7. Great post! I remember manifesting a job I really wanted. I made sure to stay positive and really manifest it into existence while also detaching by trusting the universe. If it was meant to be, it would be. Thanks for this post, it’s very informative and helpful for those that want to try manifesting.

  12. I super loved this post 😍 Mastering this law brings so many blessings when we least expect them! I spent a lot of time missing the point. It’s not easy to let go of the outcome but today I do believe no good things can come from a place of control and manipulation. Thanks for this wonderful post, Penny, it’s so nice read about these laws ♥️

  13. Congratulations on your launch Penny! The Law of Detachment has been such an enlightening experience for me. By holding on tightly or trying to control a situation we end up making things worse. Having full trust in the universe and knowing things will fall into place in divine timing has been super helpful. Thank you for sharing!

  14. This is such an interesting post Penny. I knew about manifestation, and I try to manifest, but I didn’t know it could go the other way too. It makes perfect sense though because that’s what happens in life – if you try to push or control something too much it generally goes the other way. Thanks for sharing.

  17. Those was a nice read! Law of detachment from the manifested. And trusting the process and the fated factor always make every minute of our lives if we look at it that way. But we are mostly not aware of bit. But realizing that is a key to calm nerves and how we lead life. It’s nice to hear and see how you put all into your blog and posts. Xx

I totally agree that you need to manifest what you want and than let it go for the universe to do it’s think for you, it’s like manifesting and than going about your day like you already have what you manifest, the universe than see if you are truly ready for what you manifested!
